The Sydney instrumental rockers will open for the Japanese legends around the country this November.

Revered Sydney instrumental-rock outfit Dumbsaint have nabbed support-act honours for MONO's upcoming Australian tour.

The local band will join the Japanese legends on all five dates of their impending sojourn, starting off in Brisbane on Wednesday 8 November and rolling through Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth over a hectic five-day jaunt.

Dumbsaint will hit the ground running on the heels of a nearly month-long European tour, part of their current touring cycle in support of their excellent 2015 album Panorama, In Ten Pieces. The group are renowned for their immersive performances, which include live visual projections to complement their innately cinematic soundscapes.

They've honed their chops alongside esteemed peers such as Russian Circles, Earth, sleepmakeswaves and We Lost The Sea, and are brimming with energy at the prospect of adding MONO to that list.

''We're thrilled to be able to join MONO on what will be our last trip around Australia for the Panorama... touring cycle," the band said in a statement.

"Having just finished a three-week run in Europe, we feel we're playing better than ever and are looking forward to bringing that performance home for one last time. And, you never know, we may just play something new for you.''
