Dr Octagon To Perform Classic Album Live

American rapper and horrorcore pioneer Kool Keith - real name Keith Thornton - is making a rare appearence in Australia next month and, in even rarer news, will be performing his classic album Dr Octagonecologyst.

Recorded under the guise of Dr Octagon (an "extraterrestrial time traveling gynecologist and surgeon from the planet Jupiter") the record was released in 1996 as Keith's debut solo album. It was then lauded as one of the most progressive rap releases of the time.

The promoters say they spent "considerable time" convincing Kool Keith to bring the tour to Australia and that the shows are world exclusives.
