More Don Broco More Don Broco

British rockers Don Broco are returning to our shores this May with three special shows booked to take place on the East Coast.

In October 2021, the band released their UK #1 fourth album, Amazing Things, and experienced four hit singles in Manchester Super Reds, Gumshield, One True Prince and Fingernails. The group went on to headline the punk festival, Slam Dunk, and were one of four acts chosen to perform at the legendary Royal Albert Hall for the 2022 Teenage Cancer Trust. They performed in the company of The Who, Ed Sheeran and Liam Gallagher.

This May, Aussie Don Broco fans can celebrate the band's whirlwind two years with three special shows at 170 Russell in Melbourne, The Metro in Sydney, and The Triffid in Brisbane. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, 21 February, via The Phoenix.

"Relatively new British quartet Don Broco unleash their debut album, Priorities, a thinking man's rock record that features a tight collection of tracks," The Music declared in an album review. "Complete with jazz and blues influences combined with big open rock choruses, this release is a fresh take on rock'n'roll, challenging the listener to discard the band's apparent eagerness to please by succumbing to Don Broco's obvious charm and succinct songwriting skills."

Also in 2021, Don Broco riled up the boxing world into thinking frontman Rob Damiani had lost his mind and was attempting to suddenly become a professional boxer - with zero experience.

“After seeing all these YouTubers try their hand at boxing, we thought it would be an interesting experiment to see if we could convince people I was deluded enough myself to fight a professional boxer," said Damiani.

Following Damiani documenting his boxing training via social media ahead of his first professional "fight" with UK Heavyweight boxer Dave 'White Rhino' Allen, fans and the media were salivating at the audacity and pure insanity of Damiani's seemingly new and divergent career pivot.

But amid the social media banter and vigorous training between Damiani and Allen, the climax of the actual fight between the pair instead resulted in a new Don Broco single, Gumshield, a new accompanying music video and ultimately: a beatdown entirely of the sonic persuasion.
