"A really impressive debut record which we can't wait to share with the world!"

More Deuce More Deuce

Dinosaur City Records has added Deuce, the new project from Curtis Wakeling (Pop Filter/The Ocean Party) and visual artist Kayleigh Heydon, to its roster.

The signing news arrives ahead of the duo’s debut single, Antipodes, which is out this Friday.

"We were both really excited when Jordanne and Cody (DCR) got back to us and told us they really liked the album and would be interested in putting it out,” Deuce told The Music.

“We had been in lockdown so basically living in a bubble and we weren't really sure what people would think about the album. It was really nice to receive such positive feedback.

“Dinosaur City Records have done such great work in the last few years, putting out amazing releases with such good reception. We really can't wait to be a part of it."

Dinosaur City Records’ Jordanne Chant added: "I was introduced to Deuce via their contribution to COVID compilation Stay Inside: Songs from the Great Indoors last April.

“Their track Day Three was one of my favourites from the mixtape. I was absolutely thrilled when they shared their debut album with us last year, which they'd written and recorded at home throughout Melbourne's stage four lockdown.

“I've always been a fan of the music Curtis has made over the years via The Ocean Party, Pop Filter and Velcro, and had been a fan of Kayleigh's visual art. Together, the two have created a really impressive debut record which we can't wait to share with the world!"
