Authorities Reveal Details Surrounding Taylor Hawkins' Death

It’s been revealed that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had 10 psychoactive substances and medicines in his system at the time of his death, according to Colombian authorities.

As ABC reports, a preliminary toxicology test revealed the drummer had “THC (marijuana), tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines and opioids” in his system, although the volume of substances was not stated.

The Colombian prosecutor’s office also stressed that no conclusions had been made about the cause of Hawkins' death, which was still being investigated.

It has also been revealed that health workers, who received a report of a patient with “chest pain”, tried to revive Hawkins, but were unable to do so.

On Saturday, news broke the 50-year-old musicians had passed away suddenly while the band were on tour in South America, just hours before Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform at Estéreo Picnic Festival.

The band released a statement confirming the “tragic and untimely loss” of Hawkins, while social media flooded with tributes, with Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Tom Morello, The Smashing Pumpkins among some of the first before countless others expressed their condolences.
