More Dave Lombardo More Dave Lombardo

Renowned drummer Dave Lombardo has been confirmed for the upcoming Adelaide Festival, where he'll perform alongside legendary composer and saxophonist John Zorn during his series of concerts at the event.

Lombardo, best known as the former drummer and co-founding member of metal icons Slayer, will take the stage on the thrid night of Zorn's four night series, along with bass legend Bill Laswell. The trio will perform under the guide of Bladerunner, which they first formed back in 2000.

Their show will take place on Thursday 13 March at the Festival Theatre.

Zorn's series is one of the big highlights from the eclectic event, which revealed its full program last month.

Lombardo, considered one of the most influential drummers of the modern era, left Slayer earlier this year in what became quite the messy fall-out over a financial disagreement. He did not tour with the band when they toured for Soundwave back in February.
