Cuddly Comedian Gabriel Iglesias To Tour Australia

Mexican-American comedian Gabriel Iglesias might be pushing 40, but it seems he's no closer to running out of jokes about his weight than when he first hit stand-up stages 17 years ago – he's just announced that he'll be returning to Australia for a five-date run of shows this September.

The tour kicks off at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on September 20 and passes through Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane on the way to his final show at Sydney's Qantas Credit Union Arena on September 27.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday, June 5. All shows except Adelaide are ticketed via Ticketek.

Iglesias' success has included achievements such as notching up more than half-a-billion hits on his YouTube clips and releasing several popular DVDs and specials, and “Fluffy”, as he's affectionately known, now stands at the cusp of releasing his new stand-up film The Fluffy Movie, to be released on July 11, as well as beginning work on his return to the Magic Mike franchise for 2015's forthcoming Magic Mike XXL.
