You’ve probably noticed the familiar and haunting echo of Christmas classics played over shopping centre sound systems for a while now, and that festive cheer is starting to ramp up in the Australian charts.

A slew of festive releases are making their way up the ARIA Charts, with Michael Buble’s Christmas – now sitting at #3 - looking to dethrone Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born from #1 in the near future. Buble's Christmas has now spent 50 weeks in the top 10 since its release in 2011.

Celebrating eight weeks at the top, A Star Is Born is now tied with The Greatest Showman soundtrack for most weeks at #1 this year.

The top 20 sees a steady climb for John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John’s Friends For Christmas (#10), David Campbell’s Baby It's Christmas (#12), Human Nature’s The Christmas Album (#13), Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas (#14) and Mark Vincent’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (#16).
