"This will unfortunately be our final Friday as The Nudge."

Tasmanian born artists Choomba have announced they'll be departing triple J after six months on air.

The duo, made up of Christian and Tim Benson have made a name for themselves globally for their tech-house and bass heavy tracks, most known their Spinnin' Records release, Lah Luh.

Christian Benson also heads up solo project, Luude, who recently took over the commercial dance world, with his initially TikTok hosted drum'n'bass edit of Land Down Under.

The duo took over the late Friday Night slot from the Aston Shuffle in August, rebranding it from The Friday Night Shuffle to The Nudge.

On Friday night during the show, the duo claimed that a heavy international tour schedule would limit their ability to present the show to its full potential and capacity.

"We will still be working on triple J with future stuff, but as far as this show goes, it's just been a crazy start to the year," Christian opened.

"It's been a crazy start to the year, and we are going to be away for half the year now," Tim continued.

"It's a double edged sword, when we got the opportunity to be able to do this we were privileged it's an amazing opportunity. It was one of those things aswell peak of COVID. For us it was amazing. Touch wood we are coming out the other end of that with so much on, so we've been very lucky to be able to do it," said Christian.

"A few crazy things have happened this year where we get to take the opportunity to tour overseas for a long time. It gets too hard to do both at the same time," followed Tim.

"We have two projects going on too, with Tim doing Luude and the both of us doing Choomba, so we've got a lot on our plate.

"It's getting hard putting 100% effort into this show, and if we can't put in 100% effort and not bringing the best tunes every week it makes it hard to do."
