It's a sixth week of holding the singles-summit for Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill (a Deal with God)", as the track remains the No.1 song globally.

More Kate Bush More Kate Bush

"Running Up That Hill (a Deal with God)" also logs a sixth (consecutive) week at the top in Ireland, while the song is at No.2 in New Zealand, No.3 in Switzerland and Canada, No.4 in The U.S.A. (again) and currently within the Top 10 in Sweden, Germany (both No.7), England (No.8), France (No.9) and Portugal (No.10).

The six non-consecutive weeks at the top in Australia makes the 1985 song the sixth this decade to log six weeks at the top of the singles chart, alongside tracks by SAINt JHN, DaBaby with Roddy Rich, Jawsh 685 x Jason DeRulo, Cardi B with Megan Thee Stallion (all 2020) and Olivia Rodrigo (2021), while the song is now the second longest running for 2022 behind the seven weeks racked up by Harry Styles' "As it Was" (April to early June of 2022). Kate Bush has now also amassed nine overall weeks at No.1 in Australia, moving her from equal 74th (amended from last week's info) to now equal 72nd, alongside twelve previous acts who've all had nine-weeks from two No.1's like Aerosmith, Bee Gees, George Harrison, John Lennon, Queen, Helen Reddy and Savage Garden amongst them.

Last week's top three singles are again on hold for this week, while last week saw the top three songs all being current or former No.1 songs, while this week that has increased to four No.1's. "As it Was" for Harry Styles remains at No.2 (he holds the No.1 Album spot for a sixth week), while the song is newly 3x▲Platinum in sales (last certified June 13th), and it is again at No.1 in both The U.S.A (10th week) and Canada (12th week), while the current New Zealand No.1 hit is sitting at No.3 locally, "Glimpse of Us" for Joji, which scores it's first sales certification and is Gold (●) in sales after six weeks of selling, while Kate's single (also through Warner like Joji) has yet to be certified after eight weeks of charting and selling over 100k (70k is the Platinum mark).

Glass Animals were in the country this past week, appearing at the Splendour in the Grass festival on the weekend, plus lead singer Dave Bayley appeared on The Project too, which has helped their long-running former dual-No.1 single "Heat Waves" to climb two places to No.4 (last this high on May 16th at No.4), increasing it's lead within the Top 10 to now 76 weeks (still the longest ever), as the track is three weeks away from logging it's two-year anniversary of charting.

Within the Top 50 this week there are 15 non-movers and 17 climbing songs, while six of those 15 stable tracks are within the Top 10. Lizzo has the fourth of those frozen entries as her track "About Damn Time" claims the No.5 spot, thanks in part to her fourth studio album "Special" entering at No.2 on the Albums Chart this week, while the song also scores it's first sales cert (another from Warner), bypassing Gold and going straight to ▲Platinum in sales.

Doja Cat's "Vegas" swaps places with Glass Animals' track as it dips two spots to land at No.6, while the song is newly Gold (●) in sales, after which are the final two non-movers within the Top 10. Spending it's second week at No.7 in it's seventh week within the Top 100 (TW-7, LW-7, WI-7, HP-7x2) is the OneRepublic track from 'Top Gun: Maverick' "I Ain't Worried", followed by Jack Harlow's "First Class" single, which remains on hold at No.8 and is the third Warner track to be certified this week, by-passing both Gold and Platinum and scoring it's first cert. of 2x▲Platinum after 15 weeks of charting (both in the Top 10 and Top 100).

Last week's new entry at No.36 for Steve Lacy called "Bad Habit" has leapt up the chart twenty-seven places this week to land at a new peak of No.9, becoming his first Top 10 entry in Australia, while the song has also leapt up in The U.S.A. (100 to No.50) and into the Top 10 in both New Zealand (25 to No.8) and No.9 in The Netherlands, while it debuted within the Top 30 in both Ireland (No.16) and England (No.25). This jump is also helped by his new album "Gemini Rights" debuting at No.13 this week. The second longest running Top 10 entry (ever) racks up its 53rd week within the Top 10 as "Stay" for Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber dips one spot to No.10 this week.

UP:

The only song climbing within the Top 20 is the Harry Styles track "Late Night Talking", back up one spot to No.19 after it's official video clip was issued last week. There are four stable tracks within the T20 too, for Elton John & Dua Lipa (No.13) Ed Sheeran (No.14 for BH's and No.16 for "Shivers"), plus Latto at No.17.

Holding it's peak of No.21 for a second week is the Nicky Youre and dazy entry "Sunroof" (36 to No.27 in NZ), while the first significant climber outside of the Top 10 is the Tate McRae single "She's All I Wanna Be" (HP-19), which rebounds seven places to No.23 this week thanks to her national concert tour this past week (she's in N.Z. this weekend).

Yung Gravy sees his new entry from last week "Betty (Get Money)" jump up four places to a new peak of No.30 (39 to No.25 in NZ), while the two Top 50 entries for Lil' Nas X both climb back up, with "Industry Baby" up four to No.34 (and scoring it's one-year chart-anniversary) and "That's What I Want" is up two spots to No.44. The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" rebound six spots to No.37 and the R3HAB and Amy Shark cover "Sway My Way" lands a new peak of No.40, up four spots.

After 65 weeks within the Top 100 the J. Cole track "No Role Modelz" has hit a new peak this week, as the song rises four places to land at No.43 (former peak No.44 on May 9th), after which there are slight rebounds for Elley Duhé and "Middle of the Night" (50 to No.48), "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac (52 to No.49, last week within the Top 50 on May 9th) and "Woman" for Doja Cat (53 to No.50 after only it's third ever week outside of the fifty.

DOWN:

The only song to leave the Top 10 this week is the Post Malone and Doja Cat entry "I Like You (A Happier Song)" (HP-7, WI10-3), which dips one spot to No.11, matching the same chart spot as it's parent album "12 Carat Toothache", while his "Cooped Up" track slips two to No.35. Dropping three places apiece within the Top 20 is The Kid Laroi's "Thousand Miles" (12 to No.15, now ▲Platinum; plus his first No.1 "Without You" has gone 7x▲Platinum this week) and Beyonce's "Break My Soul" (15 to No.18).

After cracking the Top 20 last week the Metallica track "Master of Puppets" drops back down five places to it's original entry position from three weeks ago to No.24, after which is a three place dip back down to No.26 for The Weeknd's "Save Your Tears''. Charlie Puth and BTS member Jung Kook sees their collaboration track "Left and Right" fall down seven places to No.31, while Drake is reduced to only two Top 50 entries this week, his appearance on the Future song "Wait for U'' (on hold at No.25) and he falls five to No.33 with "Massive".

Lady Gaga's 'Top Gun: Maverick' single "Hold My Hand is down three to No.38, while the final new certification within the Top 50 this week is a Gold (●) in sales for Jax Jones and MNEK with "Where Did You Go?", which dips two places to No.42 after peaking at No.40 last week. The last two major drops are for last week's highest new entry for Fivio Foreign and Kid Laroi with "Paris to Tokyo", the biggest fall within the Top 50 from 26 to No.47, and Luke Combs slips out of the Top 50 from No.42 with "The Kind of Love We Make".
