Well, there's been a few contenders that have happened this year already, but genuinely, this New Music Friday RULES hard.

More Spiritbox More Spiritbox

Let's get into this and let's just acknowledge the sheer RAFT of shit-hot stuff that dropped today. There will be no discussion, it's simply a fact. Today is best new heavy music Friday to date this year. I mean, this list doesn't even touch the sides of the sheer number of great stuff out today, but these are my favourites for today. Prove me wrong though, this has to be the best heavy music Friday this year.

Spiritbox - Rotoscope, Sew Me Up, Hysteria
1, 2, 3 - pow pow pow - and you are KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT. Spiritbox wins, flawless victory.

Alexisonfire album out today
If you find a set of lyrics that hits harder than "It's easier to love someone else / Than it is to be kind to yourself / What's harder is to let someone in / You loved me when I couldn't love myself", you get your money back, guaranteed. Dallas Green is still doling out the emotional hits, even with 13 years in between full-lengths. GTFO if you ain't on board.

Coheed & Cambria album out today
Coheed & Cambria have released the soundtrack to the best juorney throughout the universe you could imagine. Full of positivity and just enough darkness.

Alpha Wolf - Hotel Underground
Every Friday needs this kind of "GTFO of my face" energy in order to see your work week out. Fight mosh your way through to 5pm with Hotel Underground and get stuck into your weekend.

The Comfort - Conformist
Brissy lads The Comfort are bringing the cathartic and *ahem* comforting vibes and as always, they have brought some proper QUALITY to the table.

willow - ᐸmaybeᐳ it's my fault
This one may be controversial, but willow smith is just getting better and better with every release. This is EXCELLENT. Her music is getting heavier and heavier all the time and a genuinely great set of pipes on her. MORE PLEASE.

Floya - Epiphany
Speaking of calm and cathartic vibes...

We Came As Romans - Plagued
Back on the heavies, this is absolutely the energy I want in my life right now. WCAR have announced an album and dropped this TIGHT, DJENTY banger and it's fucking EXCELLENT.

Lorna Shore - Into the Earth
I mean, I don't need to intro these guys.

Sleeping With Sirens - Crosses (feat. Spencer from Underoath)
Kellin Quinn and Spencer Chamberlain = Belter.

Ozzy returns!
Ozzy has a new song even though he's just had surgery. Stay with us, Ozzy, you are a god.

Fit For A King - Reaper
There is little else that goes harder that this track today.

Nothing More - Spirits
There's not much this band could do that would lose me as a fan, but this song is my favourite of the 3 singles released so far from their new album. It goes hard on the instrumental side, and the vocals are OFF their head.
