The veteran Aussie expats are flooring it to the big time

More Calling All Cars More Calling All Cars

Stalwart Melburnian rock trio Calling All Cars are capping off an already-impressive 2014 with the announcement that they will be joining Scottish indie behemoths Biffy Clyro as supports on the latter’s forthcoming national tour.

The past 12 months have seen much upwardly mobile action for the resilient three-piece, having inked a deal with renowned indie label Cooking Vinyl in the lead-up to the release of their third full-length album, Raise The People, as well as successfully relocated to merry old England a few months ago, where they’ve since signed to X-Ray Touring (Queens Of The Stone Age, Green Day), and appeared at the venerated Sonisphere Festival alongside the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden and The Prodigy.

The Biffy Clyro sojourn will be the first time local audiences have seen the ascendant ex-pats since their relocation to the northern hemisphere, and the last time they’ll be here this calendar year, and thus is a must-attend event for dyed-in-the-wool CAC fiends.

To get you in the right frame of mind, the lads will be dropping their new single Every Day Is The Same on September 26 (but you can still listen now, via our stream of the album); the release will include four bonus live tracks from a recent triple j Live At The Wireless session. Otherwise, you can always pass the time with their fine clip for Standing In The Ocean, released earlier this year:
