Brisbane rockers Bugs will take flight next March in celebration of their latest single, Sweetener.

The trio’s first headline stint of 2019 will see them hit Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney, with a new album expected later in the year.

"We’re all super excited to be taking a bunch of new songs on tour early next year,” frontman Connor Brooker said.

“Our last headline shows sold out in each city we are revisiting in this run so we are really looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and interstate mates - hopefully we can make some more pals along the way!"

The accompanying video for Sweetener was fittingly filmed at the Brisbane instalment of immersive candy-inspired attraction Sugar Republic.

“I hope the end result brings you as much joy watching as it provided for us making it,” Brooker said.

“Our new mate Anne-Marie who supervised the access was so lovely too, loading confetti canons and finding light switches every five minutes. It was a remarkably cohesive group effort but it didn’t feel like work.”
