Seven years and two albums

Brisbane dream-indie band Little Scout have decided to disband, seven years after they formed.

Darlings of the Queensland scene who often broke out into the national circuit, they released two albums – 2013’s Are You Life and 2011’s Take Your Light. Since 2008 they’ve performed alongside Placebo, The Jezabels, Belle & Sebastian, Cloud Control, Courtney Barnett and many others.

In a statement the band notes, “Feels a bit weird to be so official about it, but it's been a big part of our lives since we started in 2008. Since then, we've met and played with so many incredible people and have been very fortunate to visit such cool places to play our music. We want to thank you all for being part of it and helping us out along the way.”

Made up of Melissa and Kirsty Tickle, Patrick Elliott and Miro Mackie, along with touring musicians Charles Sale and Mic Pringle, they added, “We still love each other and we still love you… We are all still making music, and we'll let you know about our new projects on our Facebook page in the near future.”
