In case you were wondering whether Bob Dylan is a fan of people using mobile phones at live gigs, here's your answer: he is not.

As Rolling Stone reports, the music icon stopped while performing Blowin' In The Wind during a show in Austria on Tuesday night to address the audience.

"Take pictures or don’t take pictures,” Dylan told the Vienna crowd.

“We can either play or we can pose. Okay?”

Punters using their mobile phones at gigs has been a hot topic for some time. While a number of comedians such as Dave Chappelle regularly enforce phones being banned at their shows, musicians are now coming to the party.

The Saboteurs, who will perform in Australia this weekend at Bluesfest as well as some headline shows around the country, have also banned phones at their upcoming concerts
