Bluesfest has added another 18 amazing acts to its already massive 2023 line-up. With the third artist announcement featuring Beck taking the line-up to 50 acts, the fourth wave of artists included Paolo Nutini, The Angels - who were lauded as one of the best acts at this year's event, Ash Grunwald, Backsliders, The Bros. Landreth, Eugene' Hideaway' Bridges, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and Yirrimal.

The 18 artists joining Bluesfest 2023 are (in alphabetical order): Bobby Alu, Buttered, Clarence Bekker Band, Coterie, Dami Im, Daniel Champagne, Dog Trumpet, Electric Cadillac, Frank Sultana, Frank Turner, Hussy Hicks, Lisa Hunt’s Forever Soul, Loose Content, Ray Beadle Stax of Blues, Roshani, Round Mountain Girls, Steve Poltz and Finnish YouTube sensation Steve’n’Seagulls.

Bobby Alu is a local favourite who holds the crowd captive with a fresh, simple sound with tastes of Polynesian ukulele, Pacific beats, catchy songs, thoughtful harmony, and powerful log drumming on a bed of slick style.

Dami Im, meanwhile, is playing Bluesfest for the second time. She is renowned for her passionate and powerful vocals since capturing hearts when she won The X Factor Australia. Im became Eurovision Royalty in 2016 when she earned the highest score ever achieved by an Australian artist with her smash hit, Sound of Silence, which charted in 38 countries across the globe.

Dog Trumpet is Reg Mombassa and Peter O’Doherty, original members of Mental As Anything, and Bernie Hayes and Jim Elliott from The Cruel Sea. Bluesfest attendees can expect to hear songs from Dog Trumpet and Mental As Anything favourites.

The epic first and second announcements contained Mavis Staples, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Kaleo, Lucinda Williams, Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jon Stevens, The Cat Empire, Counting Crows, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Vintage Trouble, The Doobie Brothers and stacks more.

Festival Director Peter Noble OAM commented: "With this Bluesfest announcement for Bluesfest 2023, our 34th event, it is becoming clear that the return of international live artists mixed with great Aussie and Kiwi talent will be seen for the first time in Australia at the level it was before the COVID years. The line-up is one that I am immensely proud of, and 2023 is becoming one of the great Bluesfests. Thank you so much, everyone, for your support through the hard years; please now come and join us for the celebration."
