Ian Kenny was always going to face a clash at some point

Perth hard rock outfit Karnivool have pulled the plug on their headlining slot at Darwin's BASSINTHEGRASS festival due to American touring commitments of their frontman Ian Kenny, who also front Birds Of Tokyo.

Birds Of Tokyo are currently making their presence felt in the States after a successful SXSW showcase run and an extended tour run conflicts with the festival's plans. Organisers have announced that Karnivool will be replaced by The Living End.

“Karnivool are super disappointed to cancel our show at BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival in Darwin due to a last minute change in American touring schedule,” Karnivool said in a statement.

“We were really looking forward to visiting Darwin and will make plans to get back there as soon as we can.”
