More The Living End More The Living End

Australian rock music fans can experience the seven-day live music event of a lifetime in October 2024, when the Rock The Boat cruise sets sail from Sydney (Circular Quay) and explores two magnificent ports of call: Mare (Loyalty Islands) and Noumea (New Caledonia).

Headlined by Australian rock royalty The Living End, followed by The Screaming Jets and Baby Animals on the second line, Rock The Boat is the best cruise ever for 90s rock music fans. Mark Seymour And The Undertow, Chocolate Starfish, Boom Crash Opera and Thirsty Merc also join an epic line-up that features another 30 artists.

Journeying on the Carnival Luminosa, the seven-day voyage will find attendees experiencing world-class amenities and luxury. “We are incredibly excited to bring Rock the Boat 2024 to Carnival Luminosa for the first time,” Marius Els, CEO of Choose Your Cruise, said in a press release. “This cruise offers music lovers a unique opportunity to enjoy world-class performances from a new generation of artists.

“Rock The Boat will be a vibrant new experience for both fans and performers with the pool deck being the main focal point. The new concert setup on the pool deck takes our Rock the Boat experience to a whole new level, providing an unforgettable atmosphere for our guests. This will be a true Music Festival at Sea.”

Early Bird Prices (twin-share – per person) start from $2,625 (inside), $3,070 (outside), $3,475 (balcony) and suites for $4,640. While it’s undoubtedly a lot of money, it’s pretty good for a seven-day, unique rock and roll music festival. You can book your ticket here.

At the end of May, The Living End headlined the music segment at Game One of this year’s State Of Origin series. The band wrote, “We’re pumped to be playing the State of Origin! Turn up your TV folks because Footy and Rock’n’roll music is a mighty pairing.”

"Waltzing in with the stage presence of seasoned professionals, The Screaming Jets had the audience in the palm of their hand," The Music declared in a 2019 The Screaming Jets gig review. "Infusing light chit-chat and humour into the show, the audience interaction added authenticity and transparency backed up by their rockstar personas.

"The audience were overcome by The Screaming Jets' enormous achievements, as the band played against a revolving set of pictures and videos from the past 30 years. Frontman Dave Gleeson boldly stated, 'I’m surprised we made it this long, when I once told my mum I didn’t think I’d make it to 30.'"
