Though they should be fine for Harvest on the weekend.

More Beirut More Beirut

Beirut, the indie/world music ensemble fronted by creative kingpin Zach Condon, have had to cancel this evening's Sydney sideshow due to illness.

The band, who are in the country for the Harvest Festivals as well as a couple of sideshows along the east coast, gave no more information excpet that illness has forced the cancellation and that refunds would be available from point of purchase.

It is not believed that this will affect the band's remaining performances at the Sydney and Brisbane Harvest Festivals at the weekend.

Our reviewer at the Melbourrne leg of Harvest on Sunday just passed had some nice things to say about the band's set, remarking that "we wouldn't wish to be anywhere else in the world than right here, right now."
