Introducing Calina Lawrence.

More Calina Lawrence More Calina Lawrence

After a successful inaugural run last year, Aussie label Bad Apples Music has confirmed its cultural exchange partnership will continue, this year in collaboration with Los Angeles based collective Artivist Entertainment.

Bad Apples Music will host Native American singer-songwriter, rapper and spoken word artist Calina Lawrence during her Australian tour next month.

The East Coast shows follow on from the release of her debut album, Epicenter, last year, which addresses racial injustice, police brutality, climate injustice, suicide prevention, violence against women and more.

The trip will see Lawrence will perform at Bad Apple Music’s all female, all First Nations concert, Music For The Mob, at Brunswick Music Festival alongside Emma Donavan & The Putbacks, Alice Skye, Miiesha and DJ Soju Gang.

Last year, the cultural exchange partnership saw Bad Apples Music invite Canadian hip hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids to Australia to perform at Darwin Festival with Bad Apples artist Birdz and label-mate Nooky.
