Celebrate four decades with the ARIA Hall of Famers this June

More Air Supply More Air Supply

Stalwart Aussie act Air Supply are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a national tour this June.

The Australian-born soft-rock duo of Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are proud to invite their fans to come out and join them in celebrating their 40 years in the scene as they circumnavigate their homeland with eight stops across every major capital city.

"It means the world to us to celebrate our 40th anniversary by performing once again in our homeland of Australia,” Hitchcock said of the upcoming tour.

“On our 40th year as Air Supply, nothing will make us more proud as going back to the place where we began!” Russell added.

Recently, Air Supply were recognised for their exceptional music and international successes over the past 40 years, and in 2013 inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. New music was released in 2010, which they packaged into new album Mumbo Jumbo along with dropping single Dance With Me which hit the Top 30 Billboard Adult Contemporary charts. Their current single, I Adore You, is out now.

What had started out in 1975 for a chorus rehearsal of Jesus Christ Superstar led the duo to a signing with Clive Davis’ Arista Records and the singles that spread them far and wide across the globe, with hits including Lost In Love — which was named Song of the Year in 1980 — as well as Love and Other Bruises and Now and Forever, all of which have sold over 10 million copies along with 40 million copies of their albums to date, standing strong against the test of time.

Tombowler and KillRockstar are the masterminds behind Air Supply's return to the road in 2016 for their 40th-anniversary tour, which opens up at the Thebarton, Adelaide on 7 June, then to the Palais Theatre, Melbourne, on 8 June; Wrest Point, Hobart, the following night; Llewelyn Hall, Canberra, on 11 June; The Star in Sydney on 12 June; Plaza Ballroom, Brisbane, on 13 June; Entertainment Centre, Darwin, on 14 June, and putting on their last show in Australia on 16 June at Perth's Concert Hall.
