The Australian debut of the Eskimo Dance tour has been cancelled just days before the run was to kick off in Perth.

'The original grime rave', initially founded by UK rapper Wiley in 2002, was to travel around the country this month with a line-up that included rapper and comedian Big Shaq, Devlin and P Money, as well as Wiley.

"It’s with genuine sadness that we’ve had to cancel our plans," a spokesperson for Eskimo Dance said.

"We wanted to bring the biggest ever grime tour outside of the UK to Australia and New Zealand, but unfortunately it has proved impossible to do so at this time.

"We’d like to thank all the fans that bought tickets and we’ll be working hard to bring the UK’s original grime rave to Australia and New Zealand in the near future.”

Anyone who bought tickets for the tour will be refunded in full and are also advised to contact their ticket outlet for further information.
