We can’t wait to hear what an Alpha Wolf meets Ice-T song will sound like.

More Alpha Wolf More Alpha Wolf

Australian metalcore favourites Alpha Wolf have locked in a collaboration with Ice-T. Their new single, Sucks 2 Suck, lands next Wednesday, 24 January, at midnight AEDT. Huge.

Alpha Wolf announced the news on social media this morning, sharing a photo alongside Ice-T himself. Sucks 2 Suck follows the band’s previous collaborations with Holding Absence, In Hearts Wake and Lizi Blanco of The Beautiful Monument fame.

Meanwhile, Ice-T, the rapping ringleader of metal project Body Count, has released songs with Evanescence singer Amy Lee, Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta, Power Trip’s Riley Gale (RIP), Dave Mustaine of Megadeth fame, Sepultura co-founder Max Cavalera, and Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe on the most recent Body Count albums, 2020’s Carnivore and 2017’s Bloodlust.

We can’t wait to hear what an Alpha Wolf meets Ice-T song will sound like, but if the former’s latest single, Bring Back The Noise, is anything to go by, we expect a hectic metal track that goes hard. You can check out Alpha Wolf’s Instagram post with Ice-T below.

Season 25 of Law & Order: SVU starting and the Alpha Wolf collab in the same week? What a week for Ice-T!

In addition to releasing a song with Alpha Wolf and reprising his role as Sargeant OdafinFinTutuola in the 25th season of Law & Order: SVU, the rapper and actor has been nominated for the Drama TV Star award for this year’s People’s Choice Awards.

He’s nominated in the category alongside SVU main star Mariska Hargitay, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey (for The Last Of Us), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show), and Chase Stokes (Outer Banks).

In other recent Alpha Wolf news, the band recently released the “undeniable party starter” Bring Back The Noise, made it to The Music’s Most Anticipated Australian Albums of 2024 (we hope they’ll release a new album, anyway), and will headline the second edition of their own festival, CVLTFEST. They’re currently opening for The Amity Affliction across Australia.
