Attila Show Everyone Their Love For Pizza On New Single, 'Pizza'

New Attila is an anthem for pizza lovers and pizza posers everywhere. 

Real talk, it's endearing to just see Attila not give an ounce of a fuck and do whatever they want nowadays. Love them or hate them, at least they've now got full, free artistic expression for their music and their videos. I''m not a fan myself but I do respect the hustle. They're just doing them, really, and that means taking the piss harder and embracing "the joke" even more so. Hence why their newest single, 'Pizza', is a love-letter to the concept of pizza and a giant middle-finger to anyone who puts the dreaded, yellow, sliced sin of pineapple upon their cheesy, doughy creations.

Their first song since 'Callout 2', 'Pizza' sure is.... something. It's terrible but fuckin' hilarious. If you're sick of typical metalcore or deathcore lyrical themes, then this new track should be a breath of (crusty) fresh air for you. Especially with these oceanic deep lyrics such as, "Pineapple doesn't belong on pizza/You fucking piece of shit/Why would you do this to me". (Hey, at least they dropped the racial and homophobic slurs from their lyrics, that's a nice start). As for the song itself, it's just more of the rap-heavy metalcore, semi-deathcore schtick that this group loves so much - right down to frontman Chris "Fronz" Fronzak going Super-Saiyan during the breakdown for the song's outro. Pizza or not, these elements probably won't ever change about Attila's sound.

Then there's the song's music video, which comes complete with terrible CGI special effects of humanoid pizzas dancing (I'm not kidding) and a pizza-themed UFO, as well as cartoonish after-effects to make for the most pizza-centric art-piece ever created. Actually, no. The bad CGI effects just make all of it even better.

Overall, the whole "experience" of 'Pizza' is fucking great for a laugh or two, but not much else. And no, I don't like pineapple on my pizza. I do have taste, after all.
