Astral People and Niche productions are collaborating to bring a some of the world's best tech house, bass and garage to Sydney's Metro Theatre for a huge night of deep electronica.

This massive gig, running in conjuction with FBi Radio, will go down on Friday 28 December and features a high-calibre lineup including Pearson Sound, Ben UFO, Pariah, XXXY, Slow Magic, Dro Carey, Cliques and Ben Fester. Here's the lowdown on some of the artists appearing on the lineup:

While he previously kept busy running Hessle Audio, BEN UFO has recently emerged as a key figure in the UK scene. His DJ sets split the difference between modern masters and forgotten classics and he's been putting in the hard yards with a huge touring schedule, refining his formidable production skills and eclectic approach on the decks.

Pariah has risen out of the crowded, grimy world dubstep into the fresh sonic pastures of deep techno. He'll be bringing his arsenal of analog gear down under for his second Australian appearance, having delivered a notorious set at GoodGod Small Club in 2011.

XXXY, the alias of Manchester producer Rupert Taylor, smashes together bass, garage, dubstep and glitch without forgetting to underlie his daring sonic experiments with deep grooves, washes of warm colour and compelling melodies.

This is an amazing Xmas present for lovers of electronic music so if you want to keep the good times rolling in the leadup to the New Year, grab yourself a ticket when they go on sale through Ticketek and the venue on Tuesday 28 October.
