Throwing its support behind emerging talent yet again, Queenscliff Music Festival has announced its Emerging Artist Grant and Alison McKenzie Mentor Program will return this year, with applications opening this weekend.

Now in its ninth year, the Emerging Artist Grant has previously helped the likes of The Murlocs, Izzy Losi and more, with last year’s recipient, Fenn Wilson, going on to secure management and agency representation and producing a stack of new music.

Grants of up to $10,000 will be available for recording, touring and more, with emerging artists from the Barwon South West Region able to apply from tomorrow until July 10.

It has also been announced that this year’s mentor for the Alison McKenzie Mentor Program, in honour of long-serving member Alison McKenzie who passed away in 2016, will be Ash Grunwald, who will help an artist with professional and artistic development, songwriting development and more.

Queenscliff Music Festival runs from 22 - 24 November.

Head to the festival’s website for all the details.
