In an encounter with fans caught on camera in Paris on Friday (Feb. 17), rapper A$AP Rocky turned the excitement up a notch by dropping hints about girlfriend Rihanna's upcoming ninth album.

While posing for selfies, Rocky spilled the tea on RiRi’s highly-anticipated album after one fan pressed the hip-hop star about Rihanna and "about the album."

Rocky responded with a brief update with a cheeky grin, declaring, "She's working on it.”

Rihanna, the unstoppable force behind Fenty, hasn't graced us with a full album since the release of Anti back in 2016, which featured iconic bangers like Work, Love On the Brain and Kiss It Better.

Fans have been clamouring for more, but Rihanna's been a busy bee — alongside conquering the beauty industry and slaying with Savage x Fenty, she performed at the Super Bowl, and embraced the adventure of motherhood with Rocky, welcoming sons RZA in May 2022 and Riot Rose in August 2023.

Amidst parenting adventures and dominating the fashion scene, Rihanna hasn't left us hanging completely. She gifted us two gems, Lift Me Up and Born Again, featured in the Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

RiRi herself has remained cryptic as to when we can expect the new tunes, but during a red carpet chat back in December with Highsnobiety, she was asked if music was "perhaps" among her plans for 2024.

"I mean, I can't tell you everything, girl," Rihanna said, joking: "It's giving crystal ball."

That same month, however, producer James Fauntleroy — who began working on her 2009 LP Rated Rconfirmed to PEOPLE that he had been working on new material with the superstar.

“I've known her for so long, and the last session I did for her was last week," he said at the time. "So I've known her for so long, and I think the biggest lesson I learned, whether I knew or not, was just confirmed by her ascent from pop starlet to literal billionaire is the value of taste."
