The new project from Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Sarah Hogan, Annie At The Helm’s debut single will drop next week.

Indie folk-pop gem The River, set for release on May 1, is the first taste of forthcoming EP Waters Of Love.

The raw and honest track - which was recorded to tape at Barn Recording Studio with producer Steve Robin at the helm - is said to give insight into Hogan’s “intense artistic growth, as she dives into themes of passion, fate and surrender”.

The new project follows on from Hogan’s dreamy synth folk single Young in 2018 - which appeared in the award-winning short film The Last Intimate Thing – and performances alongside the likes of The Teskey Brothers, IV League and British India as well as a set at BIGSOUND.

Tune into Double J’s Stir It Up on April 29 to hear the song premiere.
