On 20 November 2012, Andrew Haug unleashed Australia's first 24/7 rock and metal online radio station on his website, AndrewHaug.com.

Celebrating ten years of constant metal, the Melbourne-based radio host took to Facebook to share his delight at how far his dream has come.

"So, here we are, wow, celebrating 10 Years of dedication, passion, commitment, and loyalty all to the sounds of our beloved Heavy Metal, on what is still Australia's FIRST & ONLY 24/7 Metal Radio Station, AndrewHaug.com.

"Looking back with a reflective eye today has taught me so many life lessons which I am open to sharing, especially some truths not heard publicly, so read on," he began.

He spoke about the end of his "dream job" at triple j and the devastation that brought; Haug refused to fall into a "victim mindset" and followed his love for music in a new journey.

"So, where does one go from here? As this program in our country was the top of the mountain & I sure as hell didn’t want to go back down. With some self-awareness, I had a choice to either choose to become a victim of this circumstance as felt above or simply dig into one’s self and use all the courage, resilience, determination and self-belief within all of us too & do something about it?

"Oh, I know, I’ll go build my fkkking mountain, How? No idea but it was ON, self-challenge accepted."

He continued, "And, here it stands today, 10 years on, stronger than ever and still growing. Of course, this creation hasn’t been without its struggles ha everything that could have gone wrong did but hey life lessons right? That’s how you grow & learn as painful as it may feel at the time, it's so worth it, never fear this.

"I am eternally grateful to those who have supported this venture from the start, it's truly appreciated...I salute you and thank you.

"Stay Metal, Haugy \m/," he wrote.
