The Amity Affliction vocalist Joel Birch is very active on Twitter. The man we know through his screams on Youngbloods shares his political views and general life updates and interacts with fans on the social media platform.

Last night, he gifted fans with the following information: the Aussie metalcore band's eighth album is done! "New album finished. Mixed. Done," Birch tweeted. He added, "[it's the] Heaviest music we've ever written."

Well, colour us excited! The vocalist also replied to fans who inquired album the upcoming album. One person asked, "heavier than [the band's 2010 album] Youngbloods?" to which Birch responded, "Makes Youngbloods sound like [2018 album] Misery".

He then hinted that The Amity Affliction might play a new tune at Good Things Festival, which kicks off next Friday, when someone asked for a "sneaky song" at the festival, preferably "the heaviest one". Birch answered, "Not the heaviest one but a heavy one nonetheless".

The Amity Affliction recently embarked on their rescheduled Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them Australian tour alongside WAAX, Void Of Vision, and Nerve Damage.

The Gympie-founded band's seventh studio album, Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums chart and landed on several lists in the US

The band will appear at Good Things Festival next weekend - the Melbourne and Brisbane editions of the festival are Licensed 15+ events, while the Sydney date is an 18+ event.

There will be five stages at Melbourne's Flemington Showgrounds, Sydney's Centennial Park, and Brisbane Showgrounds. The festival will end at approximately 9:45 pm in all states, which gives punters enough time to head to the official after-parties at Stay Gold in Melbourne, the Burdekin Hotel in Sydney, and The Brightside in Brisbane. The good (things) vibes will go on all night.

Sadly, The Amity Affliction clash with Lacuna Coil, so fans have tough choices to make on the day. Check out the full festival timetables here.

Good Things Festival signifies that ROCK MUSIC IS BACK in Australia! What a time to be alive!
