Alpha Wolf’s shock collaboration with Body Count rapper Ice-T is finally here, with a thrilling, over-the-top music video to boot.

Sucks 2 Suck finds the Aussie metalcore legends stretching their sound to new heights, offering a sonic battering of hip-hop and metal influence, welcoming nu-metal back to the fold. Vocalist Lochie Keogh is as ferocious as ever as the guitars grind around him, and drummer Mitch Fogarty takes his work to the next level.

And the Ice-T guest feature? Just wait until you hear him declare, “You coming for me? You gotta come better than that!” You can watch the music video for Sucks 2 Suck below.

Keogh said about the new single in a press release, “It's about biting back at anyone saying you didn't work hard for the shit you have. If you had the ethic and tenacity, you'd have it too, but you suck, so you don't.”

On locking in Ice-T, guitarist Scottie Simpson added, “We decided to shoot for the stars and reach out to Ice-T. We gave him no reference, but he did exactly what we were hoping for! It’s classic.”

Sucks 2 Suck isn’t the only thing Alpha Wolf are dropping today – they’ve announced that their highly anticipated new album, Half Living Things, will arrive on Friday, 5 April, via Greyscale/Sharptone Records.

The follow-up to their 2020 second album, A Quiet Place To Die, and 2022 split EP, The Lost & The Longing, with Welsh rockers Holding Absence, here’s what Keogh had to say about Half Living Things:

There can be no inner conflict without the constant tug of war between desire and disdain, the things you want versus the things you need, or the things that make you feel alive against the parts of it that do not. You cannot grow new parts without leaving the dead ones behind. You cannot be settled until you have truly known the opposite. Find out what makes you tick and just keep running around the clock until you're happy enough to die.
