More HAIM More HAIM

The latest film from director extraordinaire Paul Thomas Anderson just dropped its first trailer - with a couple famous musical faces popping up along the way.

Anderson's upcoming project, Licorice Pizza, is a coming-of-age piece set in 1970's USA. It features Alana Haim - percussionist and singer for LA rock sisters HAIM - leading the film alongside young actor Cooper Hoffman (son of late film legend Phillip Seymour Hoffman) in a tale of growing up and chasing dreams of fame and fortune.

The film is also set to feature A Star Is Born actor Bradley Cooper - ironically playing Hollywood producer Jon Peters (who helmed the 1976 version of the music film starring his then partner Barbara Streisand alongside Kris Kristofferson).

Also featured among the cast is SNL alum Maya Rudolph, acting royalty Sean Penn, and legendary musician and songwriter Tom Waits. The film's trailer also expertly uses the David Bowie tune Life On Mars? as its underscore.

Licorice Pizza has not yet confirmed opening dates but is expected for release in early 2022. Check out the trailer below:
