Future Classic, Liberation and Milk! Records are all nominees

Having announced in August that this year will be its 10th annual awards, the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards has named the five nominees for this year's Best Independent Label award.

With I OH YOU taking the crown last year, nominees must have their artists or releases nominated in that year's Awards show.

With that, 2015's nominees include hip hop and beats label Elefant Traks, home to hip hop duo Hermitude with four noms this year, indie/electronic label Future Classic, the label behind the successes of Chet Faker, Seekae and Flight Facilities who have picked up six noms, Ivy League Records with Bad//Dreems nominated for Best Single/EP, Melbourne's Liberation Music with the likes of Vance Joy and British India with five noms and finally Courtney Barnett's Milk! Records, with Barnett's Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit and Fraser A Gorman to call their own, and picking up five noms this year.

Taking place at Meat Market in North Melbourne on Thursday 22 October, the Awards will be hosted by Nova and ABC's Dylan Lewis
