Popular broadcaster and television star Abbie Chatfield has dropped out of hosting Fridayz Live ahead of the six events beginning on Friday, 10 November, citing allegations of sexual harassment against headliner Jason Derulo as her reason for departing the line-up.

According to a press release from the Fridayz Live promoters, Frontier Touring, American rapper Baby Bash has pulled out of the events due to health concerns. The promoters added about Chatfield’s departure, “Due to personal reasons, Abbie Chatfield is no longer available to co-host Fridayz Live 2023.

“Artists on the Fridayz Live 2023 tour will now have extended set times, which means we are in for an extra treat!”

Chatfield announced her decision to step down from this year’s Fridayz Live “and most likely the years to come” this morning (27 October).

“At this time, there is an active lawsuit involving the headline act, including an allegation of sexual harassment,” Chatfield wrote on Instagram. Fridayz Live headliner Jason Derulo was accused of sexual misconduct earlier this month, as the Sydney Morning Herald reported. Derulo denied the allegations.

Chatfield continued, “While these are presently allegations and there has been no resolution in court, I personally don’t feel comfortable performing my duties as co-host while these legal matters are outstanding. This is my personal stance and I have decided to remove myself from the lineup.”
