Members of Soulfly, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon and The Mars Volta have begun recording together as a new project.

The supergroup consists of Max Cavalera (Soulfly), Troy Sanders (Mastodon), Dave Eilich (ex-Mars Volta) and Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan). They will be working with producer Josh Wilbur, who is well known for his work on Lamb of God's 2009 album 'Wrath'.

“It started with just me and Greg and then we got Dave Eilich – he’s an amazing drummer – and then Greg knew Troy and we asked him to be the bassist so it kind of became a supergroup all of a sudden," Cavalera told Terrorizer. "We jammed a couple of times and the last jam we did it sounded killer; the songs are really powerful real heavy. It’s hard to describe but I think the coolest thing about this project is that all three of us are going to sing on every song".

The album will be released in 2014, according to Cavalera.
