After a recent performance at LA's Hollywood Bowl, System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan announced that the next time the band is back in town, it will be to promote a new album.

After a recent performance at LA's Hollywood Bowl, System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan announced that the next time the band is back in town, it will be to promote a new album.


Right after the last song of the set, Dolmayan grabbed the microphone and shouted, "Next time we come back here, we'll have a new f--king album!".

It isn't certain whether or not his claim was true or just brought on by an overabundance of adrenaline from the show, but what is certain is that a new SOAD album is a very highly anticipated release. The last time the band entered the studio was to produce their fifth album, 'Hypnotize', which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
