Avenged Sevenfold have announced the title and release date of forthcoming album 'Hail to the King'.

The album will hit shelves August 27 (international release date, Australian date: TBA) through Warner Bros. Records. Continuing to work with producer Mike Elizondo, 'Hail to the King' follows the Californian band's 2010 album 'Nightmare', responsible for hits "Welcome to the Family", "So Far Away" and "Buried Alive".

Frontman M. Shadows has claimed the album has a "Sabbath/Zeppelin feel to it", speaking to Metal Hammer late last year.

'Hail to the King' will mark the first album from the band with new drummer Arin Ilejay, becoming a full-time member of the group this year. Ilejay, formerly a member of metalcore group Confide, took over session and touring percussion duties in 2011 from Dream Theater's Mike Portnoy, who recorded with the band on 'Nightmare' and was briefly a touring member following the death of longtime drummer James 'The Rev' Sullivan in 2009.
