Every band dreams of sharing the stage with acts that inspired them to play music and follow the touring dream, and this is the second time since we released our second album “The Constant Climb” in November that we have been fortunate enough to do so. Starting this band was heavily influenced by Silverstein and being given the opportunity to tour our country with them is amazing.

With the first show being at Fowlers Live in Adelaide on a Tuesday night we decided to head down to Adelaide on the Sunday so we would have a day off to prep and relax before the tour started, with a schedule of 8 shows in 9 days in 5 states (six with Silverstein, two of our own) trying to get some sleep was a great idea, especially seeing most nights on this tour will be spent driving to the next show in the next state.

The 16 hour drive to Adelaide is one of the longer drives Australian touring bands have to do, but seeing this was the fourth time we have done the trip in the last six months it seems to get easier every time.

After spending a night crashing on our mates lounge room we did all the necessary tour prep with merch and so on before leaving for load in at Fowlers. Fowlers is one of my favourite venues to play, Adelaide is always good to us, plus the venue really look after their artists which is awesome.

Arriving at the venue we loaded in and very shortly afterwards they guys from Silverstein rocked up. The poor guys were exhausted after spending 38 hours in transit from Europe but were all still really stoked to be in Australia again.

Meeting the guys the first two things you notice are firstly, Billy is a giant, and secondly, Josh’s moustache is spectacular!

The show in Adelaide is the only Licensed All Age show on the tour, and it went off, everyone get into it and one of the highlights was a very metal looking dude with hair down to his ass crowd surfing to the stage during Silverstein’s set then proceeding to stand in the middle of the stage and windmill for a good 30 to 40 seconds.

As a side note it is a shame that there isn’t the option to have licensed all age shows in all states/venues, it’s a great atmosphere and it makes music accessible to everyone, the live music scene would benefit greatly if there was some way this could be made possible.

With the following day being the only day off on the tour both Silverstein and ourselves elected to stay in Adelaide the night and trek to Melbourne the next day. After the 38 hours of transit to Adelaide the Silverstein blokes were over the moon about finally getting to sleep in a bed.

After the drive to Melbourne we again crashed in a mates lounge room for the night before heading to the Corner Hotel the following evening to meet up with the Silverstein guys again, with all the guys being either vegetarian or vegan they had already hit Lord Of The Fries a couple of times and loved it.

This was our first time playing the Corner Hotel and it is an awesome venue, really cool stage with screens either side showing what’s happening on stage and just a really good vibe. The show was awesome and we really hope to be able to play this venue again!

After the show we loaded the trailers and hit the road for the overnight drive to Sydney, which brings me to where I am right now, its fairly early in the morning now and tonight’s van jams has featured everyone from Limp Bizkit to Avril Lavigne.

So two shows into the tour and we are having an amazing time, Silverstein are top blokes and an amazing band that are playing an awesome set list, featuring some tracks from the new album but also touching on the old classics that we all know and love.

We are about to drop a new film clip today so make sure you keep an eye on our facebook and check it out!
