Kevin Devine has announced he has finished recording his forthcoming album, as well as confirming a guest vocal appearance by Isobel Campbell of Belle & Sebastian.

Devine posted the following message yesterday:

"And with that, LP7 is recorded. Mixing & mastering to come. Major bonus on the last day of an incredibly fast-moving & rewarding month: Isobel Campbell, whose distinctive voice I've loved on her own solo work, records with Mark Lanegan, and (particularly) on the first several Belle & Sebastian records, came in and sang beautiful harmonies on "For Eugene." Massive thanks to her, to Russ & Eli from Everest, and to Rob & Chris for everything. Can't wait to share."

The record, crowdfunded through Kickstarter, will be Devine's first studio album since 2011's 'Between the Concrete and Clouds'. Devine recorded the album with producer Rob Schnapf, who produced Devine's 2006 album 'Put Your Ghost to Rest'.
