Every so often a band comes along that has the ability to speak to a generation of fans of hardcore. In this era, this band is Worcester, Massachusetts’ Bane. Across five albums and numerous EPs, this band have created epic hardcore anthem after epic hardcore anthem. Now, across April and May, Bane will be returning to Australia for the first time since 2007, almost five years to the day. Formed in 1995, Bane was originally a side project for Converge but it didn’t take the band long to mark their own niche out in the Massachusetts hardcore scene. Their brand of melodic hardcore has earned them a legion of faithful fans eager to spread their messages of tolerance, unity and positivity in a scene that can often be fractured. It is this sense of purposefulness that has seen them produce a prolific output, including classic albums like It All Comes Down To This and The Note. Joining Bane will be one of Melbourne’s best-loved melodic hardcore acts Hopeless, who will be touring nation...

Joining Bane will be one of Melbourne’s best-loved melodic hardcore acts Hopeless, who will be touring nationally for the first time since early 2012. Since then, the band has been hard at work on their second full-length album, the follow up to their debut Dear World and 7-inch Human, both of which have sold out of their pressings. Fans can expect the new-look band to preview tracks from the long-awaited record, which is slated for release later this year.

This duo of American and Australian hardcore favourites are going to deliver a tour that at it’s end are going to have fans declaring “Can we start again?”
