Brandon Schwartzel of L.A skate-punks FIDLAR has told Killyourstereo.com the band intend on touring Australia in May this year.

During a short and sharp exchange with the bassist, Schwartzel said FIDLAR would “hopefully” be here in three months.

If we put our detective caps on and glance at the calendar this means the band could potentially join the Groovin The Moo lineup (which kicks off April 27 in Maitland and wraps up 11 May in Bunbury). Otherwise, we’re guessing they’re working on a headline run of club shows.

FIDLAR have been garnering attention for all the right reasons lately - Rolling Stone dubbed their 2013 self-titled album “happily regressive – playing brain-dead beach punk that suggests the Germs or Hives at their most uproariously half-assed”.
