The Soundwave boss tweeted the news last week, claiming to be "super pleased" to announce the divisive band had pulled out. No reason has been given for the band's withdrawl from the lineup, but Maddah urged fans to "rejoice in the news", going on to say that the band had only managed to sell six tickets for their Sidewave appearances.

The announcement comes after the departure of Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti and deathcore outfit Dr. Acula from the bill.

Soundwave Festival starts in just under three weeks time, with the Brisbane leg taking place February 23. All dates are sold out.
