As two of the heaviest hitters on the Soundwave 2013 lineup, the UK’s Sylosis will team up with American death metallers Six Feet Under for sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne next month.

Armed with tracks from new album Monolith, Sylosis promise to show Australian crowds why they’re one of the most promising metal bands coming out of Britain right now. Metal Injection described Monolith as “beautifully innovative and covertly stylish” and declared the band “one of the greatest British metal bands of our time”.

Six Feet Under need little introduction. Led by death metal godfather Chris Barnes (Cannibal Corpse), Six Feet Under have been churning out balls-to-the-wall death metal since 1993 and have a solid nine albums under their belt now. If recent album Undead is anything to go by, they won’t be easing up on the brutality any time soon.

Tickets on sale Friday 25 January at 9 am.
