American progressive metallers Periphery are teaming up with Japanese metalcore outfit Crossfaith for Soundwave sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney. Mixing brain-melting polyrhythmic patterns with sheer brute force, Periphery – along with fellow progressive metallers Meshuggah, The Human Abstract and Animals as Leaders – are pushing metal into increasingly complex and uncharted territory.
