"Well, it’s done. First batch of songs are recorded. The last few days included a lot of experimentation mostly; Working with sounds we’re not used to working with, trying different harmonies/arrangements/etc.

It’s sort of odd making a record like this having never played the songs live in a room before. They really took on a life of their own in the studio and songs we thought of a certain way ended up with a totally different vibe once we recorded them for real. It’s kind of ironic that the process of writing these songs through e-mails and such ended up so organic once we recorded them proper. We just kept adding layers and changing this note or that lead or adding a part here or there. It was more of a blank canvas than something you practice over and over with five people.

It’s off to be mixed by Vince Ratti (balance and composure, circa survive, etc). A song or two will surface very soon. Now we just need to make a bunch of music videos."
