Mastodon to contribute music to new Monters Inc film?

Intriguing and unexpected to say the least, US metallers Mastodon are reportedly contributing music to the upcoming Monsters Inc. sequel.

Metal Injection first reported, together with a screen shot of a Facebook update from the band, that Mastodon were writing and recording a song for the Pixar film.

The Mastodon Facebook post has since been removed.

Considering Disney’s track record with letting heavy metal bands play at their venues, it will be a matter of watch this space as to whether this eventuates.
