Queens Of The Stone Age have announced that Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame will be recording the drums for the band's new album. Grohl previously played drums on the band's 2002 album "Songs For The Deaf", and is filling in for departing drummer Joey Castillo, who joined the band after the release of the album in 2002.

The new album, which is set to be released at some stage in 2013, will be the follow up to the band's 2007 album "Era Vulgaris".
