Metallica covers Green Day

In a move which is likely to alienate fans of both bands at once, Metallica payed tribute to Green Day by covering a section of American Idiot, then promtly forgetting the rest of the song and breaking into Creeping Death.

Beforehand, frontman James Hetfield said on the matter,

"You're hoping Green Day are going to show up, right? So am I. They're getting help. They're getting it sorted out. The world needs them,"
