The Swellers wrapped up their Australian tour with Sydney's Endless Heights just over a week ago now, and the band's drummer Jonathan Diener was kind enough to take the time to write us up another exclusive tour blog, detailing the last few days of the band's tour. The band has just enjoyed a weekend at The Fest in Gainesville, and will now be heading out on a tour with Diamond Youth and Pentimento in support of their new EP "Running Out Of Places To Go", which is out now in Australia through Shock Records. If you missed any of Jonathan's previous tour blogs, they can be found here and here.

"Sorry for the lengthy wait for my final installment of our incredibly important Australia Tour Blog. I've been getting letters from all of you fans soaked in tears so I figured now would be the time to five you what you wanted. A raw, uncut, super dope blog.

We've been at The Fest in Gainesville, FL having the time of our lives so let's try to remember back a few days to the time we spent with Endless Heights. We left you in Sydney on a day off. Most of us got great hair cuts other than our Merch guy. I won't say Otis' name. Then headed to Newcastle where apparently they found blood in the backstage room a few days prior to our visit. Someone must have REALLY wanted to see us. All I remember was eating a veggie sandwich, helping Endless Heights understand their instruments and how to use them, and playing a really fun set. Got to meet our first ever Australian fan in real life too from way back in the MySpace days.

Two Brisbane shows were next. First one was a blast. Crazy club night thing going on and kids were going nuts. Great bands playing all night too. Me and the guys (not Nick because he goes to bed at 8pm) decided to stay out and do hood eat stuff with our friends. I tried to get a one way ticket to Smoochie town but all I got in return was getting to hear part of some A Day To Remember song playing on repeat and weirdos dancing. We don't do anything like that in the states, you overseas people are freaks. But good freaks. Also you all love Sum 41.

Final Brisbane show we went with Endless Heights for a final dinner together to 5 Dogs where I got some delicious veggie dogs. Did a video for Jem Eats Food (EH guitarist) and hopefully I'll be famous soon in your land. Went back to the venue and fell asleep on the floor. We played a really fun last set of tour, said our goodbyes then got in our weird minivan with all of our guitars for a 12 hour overnight drive to the Sydney airport. 12 hour flight to Shanghai where we stayed overnight. Flew 15 hours to NY, then 2 hours to Orlando. We were jetlagged, hungry, confused, smelly, handsome and other adjectives that normally describe us touring kings.

We survived and had a blast. Thank you Australia and hopefully we can come back soon!

Remember to pick up our new EP, Running Out Of Places To Go (google it, dawg)
