Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor has told Artisan New Service that the band is currently on hiatus.

In the video interview (see below), Taylor states, “We’re doing a couple of shows next year, but that’s about it right now. It’s on hiatus right now”.

The video also features Slipknot percussionist Shawn Crahan, who says the band’s next album “will happen when it’s supposed to happen”.

“It’s going to be quite an interesting thought process for the next album, whenever that is,” Crahan explains. “I’m not too worried about when it’s going to be. I don’t think it’s anybody’s business of when it is – we do what we want, when we want, how we want, as much of it as we want and… I don’t really want to talk about when, where, how, why, bass players this, bass players that, all that crap – it will happen when it’s supposed to happen and if you’re a real fan you wouldn’t want it any other way”.

Corey Taylor’s other band, Stone Sour, will tour Australia next year as part of the Soundwave festival.
